This is a Very Nice 18th Century German Coin Scale made by Johann Peter Braselmann. It is an steel equal arm balance with brass pans. The beam is 10.8 cm long and the pans are 3 cm in diameter. The wooden box is 12.8 cm x 6.3 cm. It has wire hinges, one is broken and a brass clasp. The inside cover has a label that is written in German and a stamp that reads justirt which means adjusted. There are 9 brass weights that are labeled on the box and 1 more sheet weight in the lidded compartment. Even though one of the hinges is broken, it is still a wonderful scale.
