This is a beautiful 19th C. English Hanging Equal Arm Beam Scale on a rosewood box. The brass beam has box ends and the brass pole has a lever lift to raise the pans. There is one brass pan and one glass pan. The box is 25 cm x 12 cm x 4.8cm and stands 35 cm high with the scale. There are 5 apothecary weights, 2,1 drachm and 2,1,1/2 scruples. This scale is in wonderful condition.
